Up to 500 Permanent and Temporary Access telephone numbers can be date, time and profile managed together with a flexible cross platform data file import / export facility.

Gcom500 Software Update Instructions

Please read these instructions carefully - for Gcom500 only.

In order to take advantage of improvements and added new features (and bug fixes), it becomes necessary from time to time to upgrade the Gcom500's operating software. The good news is that for devices with software revision of 1.5.2 and above it's possible to do this "over the air" by sending a software update request SMS to your Gcom500 controller.

We have deliberately not automated this process so as to keep the update secure and under your control - your update trigger SMS must include your Gcom500 6 character administrator password. For your Gcom device to download the software update it will have to make a GPRS internet data connection, therefor your Gcom device SIM card must be data enabled for this process.

This application will SMS the update trigger message to your phone - simply edit the message and replaced the word "password" with your Gcom500 device SMS administrator 6 character password and re-send the message to your Gcom500. The software update process should not take longer than 2 to 3 minutes to complete.

The Gcom500 will send to your phone a confirmation SMS on successful completion of the download followed by a second SMS confirming successful re-booting of the device.
